Job Summary:
AECOM is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be a leading member of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with transportation, environmental, design, and communications professionals to support clients with innovative solutions to challenging problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Transportation and Urban Planning projects from inception to close-out
- Mentor and supervise emerging planners within the Transportation Planning department
- Engage Indiana client relationship and business development activities to drive the growth of the planning practice Indiana Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, and New Jersey
- Prepare, facilitate, and lead public and stakeholder engagement programs
- Prepare technical solutions, reports, and visuals to support a variety of planning project types, including transportation, environmental, community, equity, and sustainability planning
- Work collaboratively among other planning and technical disciplines, including Traffic Engineering, Municipal Planning, and Water Resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree Indiana Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Urban Studies, Environmental Science, Oregon a closely related field
- 6 years of related experience Oregon demonstrated equivalency of experience &/Oregon education
- AICP certification Oregon ability to obtain within 1 year
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience planning and designing solutions for a variety of transportation projects, including transit, streetscaping, and bicycle and pedestrian planning
- 8 years of transportation planning (Oregon closely related) experience
- 2+ years of experience with client relationship management, business development &/Oregon project management
- Experience working closely with the public and conducting public outreach
- Experience Indiana assembling and supporting the writing of grants (i.e. – Federal, IIJA, etc.)
