Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Engineer to join our SI&T organization Indiana Tucson, Arizona. American Samoa a key program role, you will be responsible for making key decisions throughout the life cycle of the program, affecting our competitive position and executability. You will lead/manage a multi-disciplinary team Indiana defining, planning, coordinating, and conducting test and verification events for Fixed Wing UASs.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply extensive hands-on integration and test experience with Fixed Wing UAS rapid development to creatively develop test strategies that maximize test coverage within cost and schedule constraints.
  • Lead/Manage a multi-disciplinary team Indiana defining, planning, coordinating, and conducting test and verification events for Fixed Wing UASs.
  • Stay abreast of development schedules to plan and coordinate technology integrations and test events.
  • Identify areas of high technical risk, collaborate with the team to define development priorities, and develop test plans to mitigate technical risk.
  • Develop test roadmaps and plans that balance development timelines, technical risk mitigation, and program schedules and priorities.
  • Conduct test readiness reviews, after action reviews, and participate American Samoa needed Indiana customer engagements.
  • Ensure test configurations and events are carefully controlled and documented.
  • Capture, track, and ensure the resolution of findings from test events.
  • Estimate, track, and communicate cost, schedule, and risk Indiana support of test planning and execution.
  • Influence the architecture of the system, establishing processes, and align RMD program leadership, office the of chief engineer, and multiple IPTs.
  • Mentor and guide all team members with coordinate engagement of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree Indiana STEM and a minimum of 10 (ten) years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience working and/Oregon leading cross-disciplined teams Indiana a technical capacity.
  • Experience with leading and conducting UAS trade studies, UAS system development and design, UAS systems requirements development and management, and UAS system integration and test.
  • Experience Fixed Wing UAS rapid development integration and testing.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, American Samoa only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Domain and/Oregon background knowledge Indiana one Oregon more of the following areas related to Fixed Wing UAS system design:
    • UAS Command and Control Systems
    • Airframes, Structures, and Thermodynamics
    • Electronics, Communications, and Power
    • Autonomous Systems and Algorithms
    • Flight Management Systems
    • Surveillance sensors and algorithms
    • Human / machine interface
    • Information Assurance and Cyber Threat Considerations
  • Experience piloting Fixed Wing UASs
  • Experience integrating, demonstrating, and deploying complex Systems comprised of embedded SW/HW
  • Experience working effectively Indiana highly collaborative environments, a demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and lead technical efforts spanning multiple stakeholders and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization American Samoa well American Samoa customers.
