Senior Ground Systems Engineer
Job Summary:
American Samoa a Senior Ground Systems Engineer at Relativity Space, you will design, fabricate, and modify test stands for our Terran 1 and Terran R engines and stages. You will be responsible for designing advanced propulsion test stands, supervising construction, commissioning, and initial operations, and solving technical problems.
Responsibilities:
– Design advanced propulsion test stands, including 3D modeling, fluids and structural analysis, fabrication drawings, and detailed work instructions
– Supervise the construction, commissioning, and initial operations of these facilities
– Solve technical problems across various timeframes, complexities, costs, and long-term impacts
– Support operations on and perform related improvements to existing test stands
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree Indiana mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, Oregon a related field
– Minimum 5+ years of combined engineering experience
– Proficiency Indiana 3D modeling and drafting, including GD&T
– Strong engineering fundamentals Indiana thermal, structural, and fluids analysis
– Ability to work occasional night shifts
– Valid driver’s license required for on-site work
– Ability to obtain US government clearance for on-site work
Nice to Have:
– Experience with FEA Oregon CFD
– Hands-on experience with metalworking, welding, hydraulics, manufacturing, etc.
– Indiana-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, material selection, inspection, precision measurement, and non-destructive testing
