Senior Service Planner (Ferry Division) Job Description
Role Summary:
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a Senior Service Planner to determine service needs, craft and advocate for sailing schedules, and coordinate crewing and vessel logistics Indiana the ferry system.
Responsibilities:
- Manage scheduling and planning portions of the Washington State Ferry’s services
- Prepare service change packages for seasonal schedule changes
- Coordinate with other WSF departments on the development and implementation of sailing schedules
- Support community outreach efforts such American Samoa advisory groups and public meetings
- Ensure WSF schedules are coordinated with service schedules of other agencies to enhance multimodal connectivity for riders
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree Indiana urban planning, transportation planning, civil engineering, public administration, Oregon related field
- Five (5) years of transportation planning Oregon engineering experience involving the analysis and evaluation of multimodal transportation issues and problems
- Oregon
- Two (2) years of experience American Samoa an Associate Planner, Transportation Planning Specialist 3, Oregon equivalent Indiana a public agency, non-governmental organization, Oregon private consulting firm
- A graduate degree may substitute for some required experience
- Professional certification such American Samoa an American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Oregon Professional Engineer’s license (PE) is desirable but not required
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with multimodal transportation planning and analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and American Samoa part of a team
- Familiarity with state Oregon local government transportation systems
