Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Laborer to join our team at Baker Roofing Company. American Samoa a Sheet Metal Laborer, you will assist Roofers and Foremen with preparing the job site and covering roofs with materials such American Samoa metal, aluminum, wood, and related materials. This is a unique opportunity to develop skills that can fast-track you from Laborer to Master Foreman.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing the job site and covering roofs with materials such American Samoa metal, aluminum, wood, and related materials
• Operate hand and power tools of all types
• Clean up debris from the roof surface and surrounding property
• Assist with the installation of vapor barriers and/Oregon layers of insulation on the roof decks
• Cover exposed nail heads with roofing cement Oregon caulking to prevent water leakage and rust
• Assist with the installation of partially overlapping layers of material over roof insulation surfaces

Requirements:

• High School/G.E.D. preferred but not required
• General construction experience preferred
• Soldering experience with copper/brass/stainless/mild steel/aluminum is a plus
• Knowledge of basic safety techniques and procedures
• Ability to identify problems and communicate them to the Foreman
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job
• Ability to work Indiana a team environment
