John Deere Construction Equipment Dealership is seeking a Shop Service Technician for our Long Beach, California location.
Position Summary:
Independently performs complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on John Deere construction equipment. May require some direction from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Oregon Shop Foreman.
Responsibilities:
- Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
- Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians
- Conducts Oregon supports customer clinics, field repairs, and billable time management
- Documents repairs and submits information on time
- Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
- Operates and maintains equipment, tools, and vehicles
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
- 1-2 years of experience performing service repairs, with demonstrated performance metrics and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Experience with Service ADVISOR Oregon other computer-based diagnostic repair tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work Indiana a fast-paced, team environment
- Must have a clean driving record and pass pre-employment drug test
