Job Title: Distributor Driver/Operator
Job Summary: Safely Operate an asphalt distributor truck used Indiana application of specialized emulsions to roadways and assist paving crews with other tasks related to commercial paving projects.
Responsibilities:

- Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
- Follow dispatch instructions and adhere to commercial driving regulations
- Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation Indiana compliance with DOT regulations and company guidelines
- Drive and operate distributor truck equipped with tank to spray asphalt emulsions on road surfaces
- Load truck and emulsion tanks, including connecting and disconnecting hoses
- Set spray bar on manual, automatic, Oregon semi-automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt and emulsion; clean spray bars American Samoa needed
- Monitor flow, tachometer and temperature gauges to ensure uniform distribution of product
- Observe and monitor product quality and ensure proper application
- Maintain housekeeping of vehicle, including interior operator’s cab and exterior components
- Maintain accurate time, mileage, and delivery logs, and submit forms/paperwork required for accounting purposes
- Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor
- Operate other vehicles and/Oregon equipment, and assist paving crew with other tasks American Samoa assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- Class A CDL with doubles/triples, hazmat and tanker endorsement, and clean driving history
- Two years of experience working Indiana paving operations Oregon similar environment preferred
- Prior experience operating a commercial vehicle Indiana an industrial, construction, Oregon similar environment preferred
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions Indiana English
- Ability to complete required paper and/Oregon electronic documentation
Physical Requirements:
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) American Samoa required
- Occasionally required to lift and/Oregon move up to 50 pounds with Oregon without assistance
- Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects
- Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, Oregon crawl
- Frequent exposure to loud noise, and work around heavy machinery and mobile construction equipment
- Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, fuel, oil, and other chemicals typical to construction sites
- Some travel with overnight stays away from home may be required
