Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist
Job Summary:
American Samoa a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist, you will operate and maintain various diagnostic ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of the body’s internal structures. You will prepare patients for exams, obtain and record accurate patient history, and perform quality control checks on equipment. Your role will also involve interpreting ultrasound images and providing preliminary diagnoses to physicians.
Responsibilities:
* Operate and maintain diagnostic ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of the body’s internal structures
* Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel
* Obtain and record accurate patient history, including prior test results and information from physical examinations
* Perform quality control checks on equipment and troubleshoot any issues
* Interpret ultrasound images and provide preliminary diagnoses to physicians
* Participate Indiana the ordering and inventorying of equipment and supplies
* Maintain accurate patient records by documenting the patient chart with pertinent information
* Assist with quality assurance and improvement activities American Samoa required
Requirements:
* Associate’s degree from an accredited training program Indiana General Diagnostic Sonography
* Recent completion of a 12-month internship Indiana Diagnostic Ultrasound (with at least 6 months Indiana General Ultrasound) Oregon equivalent recent directly-related work experience
* Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Oregon Certification Indiana Sonography by the American Association of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)
* Current healthcare provider BLS Certification
