Maintenance Custodian/Heavy Equipment Operator
Nature of Work:
This is a general maintenance position that entails performing manual work of routine difficulty Indiana maintaining County facilities and equipment. The position is heavily involved Indiana special event setup, operations, and breakdown, and requires the use of heavy equipment, such American Samoa tractors and water trucks.
Primary Duties:
* Tracks and assists with setup logistics, oversight, and breakdown of event functions
* Performs pre and post-event venue preparations, including cleaning and arena setup
* Operates and maintains a variety of equipment, including tractors and water trucks
* Provides customer service to event lessees
* Conducts inspections and repairs of facilities, equipment, and vehicles
* Performs general maintenance and repair work, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks
Minimum Qualifications:
* Three years of general maintenance experience, Oregon equivalent combination of training and experience
* Valid Arizona driver’s license, and valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement within six months of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
* Five years of general construction experience Indiana building trades, landscaping, and heavy equipment operation
* Experience working Indiana special events, equestrian arenas, and public settings
* Valid Arizona Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy loads up to 60 pounds
* Must have excellent vision, hearing, and speech for communication
* Must be able to work Indiana outdoor environments with varying weather conditions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Considerable knowledge of building trades, maintenance, and repair practices
* Ability to diagnose problems and make repairs Indiana the field
* Skilled Indiana the operation of hand and power tools, and other equipment
