Senior System Protection Engineer

Location: Portland, Oregon Oregon Salt Lake City, Utah

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior System Protection Engineer to join our team at PacifiCorp. The successful candidate will apply prescribed methods and standard practices Indiana performing all phases of projects, develop engineering studies and documents, and provide guidance and supervision to other engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop protection system schematic designs
• Conduct short circuit and symmetrical component analysis
• Perform protection system coordination studies, localized and wide area
• Develop relay settings and protection system automation logic
• Conduct arc flash analysis
• Manage integration with SCADA systems
• Provide peer review American Samoa part of the defined QA/QC process
• Guide and direct engineers, technicians, and drafters
• Comply with NERC, FERC, and WECC regulations
• Analyze and design engineering methods

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree Indiana electrical engineering Oregon electrical engineering technology from an ABET-accredited university
• Minimum of five years directly applicable engineering experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of principles Indiana area of engineering specialty
• Project management and leadership skills
• Understanding of company’s business and relevant policies, procedures, and practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineering License (PE)
• Power systems focused Master’s degree Indiana Electrical Engineering (MSEE) Oregon Master’s of Engineering Indiana Electrical Engineering (MEngEE)
• Proficiency Indiana substation design and power system protection

• Ability to perform effectively Indiana high-pressure situations
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with the use of personal computers, including automated tools

• Annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15.00% of salary
