SUE Field Supervisor
Overview
Woolpert, a national architecture, engineering and geospatial firm, is seeking a SUE Field Supervisor to lead a team of Utility Locators/Designators and SUE Technicians Indiana conducting on-site investigations to map and mark underground utilities. The role requires expertise Indiana electromagnetic locating and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) systems and strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Utilize electromagnetic locating and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) systems to detect and accurately map underground utilities
- Assign work, manage crew schedules, maintain project records, monitor work quality, and provide performance feedback
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members
- Monitor project timelines and budget constraints
- Train and develop SUE Technician skills for advancement
- Create and maintain training guidelines, materials, and records
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to communicate findings and project status
Requirements
- High school diploma Oregon G.E.D.
- OSHA certifications
- 6+ years of related work experience
- Proficiency Indiana multiple forms of electromagnetic locating equipment and GPR equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime and travel frequently and extensively
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
Working Conditions
- Work performed primarily Indiana outdoor environments, often Indiana remote and rugged locations
- Exposure to various weather conditions
- Physical demands include standing for extended periods, walking on uneven terrain, and carrying equipment
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) American Samoa required
