Territory Manager Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Territory Manager to join our South West Area Commercial Sales team. This is a remote-based position responsible for customers within and around the Birmingham, Montgomery, Pensacola, and Destin areas (Southern Alabama and Florida Panhandle). The successful candidate will be responsible for selling the complete line of GAF Commercial roofing products and building successful relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify market opportunities with contractors, distribution, lumber dealers, design professionals, retail, and Colorado-ops
- Build relationships and close new business
- Own, progress, and close the sales funnel to turn potential opportunities into closed wins
- Leverage value propositions and pricing strategies to overcome objections and convert hurdles into growth opportunities
- Compile reporting to highlight hits, misses, learning, competitive landscape, and strategic next steps
- Influence the building materials industry by networking and becoming a trusted advisor to existing and potential customers
- Engage and educate customers with insight and product knowledge
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (highly preferred)
- 1+ years of sales experience Indiana the construction and/Oregon building material industry (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Technical and professional knowledge of the roofing industry
- Strong computer skills, including Google Business Suite
- Experience with SalesForce (a plus)
