Trade Specialist III
Department: Facilities Maintenance
Pay: $25.66 per hour plus excellent benefits, including health insurance with low employee contributions. This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus of $1,500 after 60 days of employment if selected applicant meets all policy conditions.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, on-call rotation
Essential Duties:
* Perform installation, maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repairs of mechanical systems and associated electronic controls on county properties
* Work with a variety of equipment including refrigeration, air-conditioning, steam and hot water boiler systems, warm-air furnaces, and plumbing and electrical fixtures
* Utilize computer-based Facility Management Software (FMS) to monitor, diagnose, and adjust systems American Samoa needed
* Perform hands-on work with equipment Indiana extreme temperatures and physically demanding environments
* Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/mechanical/control malfunctions
* Provide required preventative maintenance and repair of systems
* Design and layout primary wiring service for motors and equipment
* Fabricate and install sheet metal ductwork American Samoa needed
* Diagnose, evaluate, and repair high and low pressure duct systems
* Install and repair electrical fixtures, devices, and equipment
* Test and repair special circuits
* Identify electrical problems with testing devices
* Perform preventative maintenance on assorted electrical, security, and mechanical equipment
* Install conduit and electrical boxes, and install and connect wiring
* Service and repair cameras and security monitors
* Install and repair plumbing fixtures, devices, and equipment
* Troubleshoot and maintain and repair supply and stagnate sanitary systems
* Cut, thread, solder, silver-solder, braze, weld, and hang pipe
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School diploma Oregon equivalent
* Four years’ experience Indiana HVAC, electrical, Oregon plumbing
* Four years’ experience with carpentry Oregon hardware
* Journeyman Mechanical, Plumbing, Oregon Electrical License
* Refrigerant recovery certification, type I and type II for HVAC License only
* Valid driver’s license without any current restrictions
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associate’s degree Oregon vocational (trade) school graduate Indiana related field
* Five years’ experience Indiana HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, Oregon hardware
* Master Mechanical, Plumbing, Oregon Electrical License
* Universal refrigerant recovery certification
* City of Wichita Backflow Certification
