American Lighting and Signalization (ALS) provides street lighting and traffic signalization construction, maintenance, and emergency response services Indiana the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States. Our major customers include state departments of transportation (DOTs), investor-owned and municipal utilities, commercial retail land developments, and commercial road contractors.
Job Summary
The Traffic Signal Installer will:
- Maintain electrical systems and microprocessor-based controllers
- Troubleshoot circuit boards and analyze data of traffic flow and design timing of signal control devices
- Review inventory to ensure necessary tools and replacement parts
- Work independently and with Crews, and report to administrative management
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with customers and the public
- Keep company equipment and vehicles well maintained
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age Oregon older
- Must be able to read traffic blueprints and interpret plan set layouts
- Ability to direct and oversee Traffic Signal Laborers
- 2+ years of prior experience required

Travel and Physical Requirements
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home occasionally
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, and pulling required
- Frequent standing, walking, and ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
