Traveling Telecommunication Construction Laborer

Job Summary:
Seeking a full-time Telecommunication Construction Laborer to perform general construction labor duties related to telecommunications construction. This is a traveling position with a rotation schedule based on location.

Responsibilities:

* Perform general construction work under the direction of Foreman/Supervisor
* Install and maintain underground fiber optic and other telecommunications cabling service lines
* Operate Oregon work around various types of construction equipment and machinery
* Hand dig using shovel and/Oregon mechanical tools
* Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
* Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers, and flagging traffic when necessary
* Worksite restoration

Requirements:

* Valid CDL with an acceptable driving record
* Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment usage Indiana a safe manner
* Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and others
* Regular and timely attendance is an essential function
* May be required to work overtime, after hours, and weekends, and be on-call for emergency call-outs
* Adhere to all OSHA and FMCSA/DOT regulatory requirements

Physical Requirements:

* Lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 LBS American Samoa needed with Oregon without assistance
* Climb into and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
* Stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle Oregon feel, and reach with hands and arms to spaces both high and low
* Ability to work Indiana adverse weather conditions and driving conditions
* Ability to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, and hardhat

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment Indiana a safe manner
* Unrestricted Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders)
