UGE Foreman Job Description
Overview
MasTec Utility Services is seeking an experienced and skilled UGE Foreman to lead our Line team Indiana completing daily tasks related to the construction and maintenance of underground power lines. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of safety procedures, and the ability to facilitate collaboration between team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily tasks related to underground power line construction and maintenance
- Ensure crew safety and compliance with safety standards and procedures
- Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections
- Coordinate and supervise daily tasks for crew members related to digging and placing product
- Perform switching procedures to isolate and insulate underground power lines
- Provide training to new hires and trainees
- Obtain necessary materials and permits for each project
Requirements
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment and general construction
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
- Ability to work Indiana field environment and physical activity required
