Utility Specialist/Scaffold Builder – Carpenter
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Utility Specialist/Scaffold Builder – Carpenter to construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding Oregon other temporary structures. This role requires strong attention to safety and the ability to effectively communicate hazards and mitigate risks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determine the type of scaffold needed for each job
- Inspect job sites and scaffolding materials for defects and safety hazards
- Effectively communicate safety hazards and mitigate avoidable hazards prior to construction
- Transport and erect scaffolding materials to meet project specifications
- Hoist materials upward to construct temporary structures
- Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material
- Secure scaffold to permanent structure for added stability
- Adhere to OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements
- Perform final inspections of completed scaffolding
- Dismantle scaffolding when complete
- Inspect and store scaffolding material after dismantling
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience Indiana scaffolding construction Oregon a related field
- Valid TWIC Card and Driver’s License
- NCCER certification preferred but not required
- Must be comfortable working at heights with no fear
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work Indiana a fast-paced environment
