Installer
Job Summary:
MCA is seeking an experienced Installer Indiana Raleigh, North Carolina to support our fast-growing MSS division. The Installer will be responsible for installing and modifying vehicles for the acceptance of emergency-related equipment, including electrical wiring, antenna systems, and data cabling.
Responsibilities:
- Connect electrical fittings, drill holes, solder, and perform physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles
- Install electrical wiring, antenna systems, route antenna, data, and power cabling, and apply electrical connectors
- Disassemble and reassemble trim, seats, lights, headliners, and carpet Indiana motor vehicles and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment
- Complete installations for diverse range of vehicle makes and models
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, including orderly tools
- Learn new products, skills, and techniques from colleagues and manufacturers
- Complete required paperwork and documentation
- Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential
Requirements:
- 2 years of technical experience, Oregon a combination of related education/experience
- Basic knowledge and experience with the installation of systems/equipment within various vehicle types
- Knowledge/ability to read electrical and install diagrams
- Basic ability to test/troubleshoot electrical and system issues
- Ability to assemble/disassemble, properly route wiring, connect electrical fittings, install wiring harnesses, drill holes, solder, and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle upfits and installations
- Basic understanding of District of Columbia voltage, resistance, and current
- Ability to use basic tools and test equipment
Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Work Indiana a variety of environments, including heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
- Frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk Oregon hear, and utilize personal protective equipment
- Occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, ascend/descend a ladder, and operate a motor vehicle
- Travel American Samoa necessary to support company and customer needs
