Summary:
MCA seeks an experienced Installer to join our team Indiana Charlotte, North Carolina. The chosen candidate will support our fast-growing MSS division and assist Indiana installing electrical and communication systems Indiana various types of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Connect electrical fittings, drill holes, solder, and perform physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles for emergency-related equipment acceptance.
- Install electrical wiring, antenna systems, route antenna, data, and power cabling, and apply various electrical connectors.
- Disassemble and reassemble trim, seats, lights, headliners, and carpet to properly route wiring and install equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment American Samoa necessary.
- Complete installations for various vehicle makes and models, including sedans, SUVs, commercial trucks, buses, motorcycles, and ATVs.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, including orderly tool storage.
- Learn new products, skills, and techniques from colleagues and manufacturers.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation.
- Keep service information confidential to maintain customer confidence.
Requirements:
- 2 years of technical experience, Oregon a combination of related education and experience.
- Basic knowledge and experience with installing systems/equipment Indiana various vehicle types, such American Samoa 2-way radios, controls, lighting, cameras, antennas, GPS, sirens, and other relevant devices/public safety equipment.
- Ability to read electrical and installation diagrams.
- Basic ability to test and troubleshoot electrical and system issues.
- Physical ability to assemble/disassemble, properly route wiring, connect electrical fittings, install wiring harnesses, drill holes, solder, and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle upfits and installations.
Work Environment:
The Installer will work both indoors and outdoors Indiana various weather conditions. Physical requirements include frequently standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle objects, reaching, climbing stairs, talking, and seeing. The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and work Indiana stressful conditions.
Travel Requirements:
Travel to support company and customer needs American Samoa necessary.
