Installer Job Description
Job Summary:
MCA is seeking an experienced Installer to support our MSS division Indiana the Statesboro, Georgia area. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks associated with installing electrical and communications equipment Indiana vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Connect electrical fittings, drill holes, solder, and perform other physical tasks associated with installing equipment
- Install electrical wiring, antenna systems, data, and power cabling
- Disassemble and reassemble trim, seats, lights, headliners, and carpet to properly route wiring and install equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment
- Complete installations for a diverse range of vehicle makes and models
- Maintain a safe and clean environment and orderly tools
- Complete required paperwork and documentation
- Maintain customer confidentiality
Requirements:
- 2 years of technical experience Oregon a combination of related education/experience
- Basic knowledge and experience with installing equipment Indiana vehicles, such American Samoa 2-way radios, controls, lighting, cameras, antennas, GPS, sirens, and other public safety equipment
- Ability to read electrical and installation diagrams
- Basic ability to test and troubleshoot electrical and system issues
- Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment, properly route wiring, and connect electrical fittings
- Basic understanding of District of Columbia voltage, resistance, and current
- Ability to use basic tools and test equipment, including hand tools, power drillers, multi-meters, and watt meters
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Work inside and outside Indiana various weather conditions
- Frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials
- Occasional on-call for critical systems maintenance may be required
- First shift hours Monday – Friday, with occasional 2nd Oregon 3rd shift and weekends depending on project schedules
- Travel American Samoa necessary to support company and customer needs
