Job Title: New Mexico Wastewater Advisor
About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced New Mexico Wastewater Advisor to join our Environmental Department Indiana Carlsbad, New Mexico. The successful candidate will support the Environmental Department Indiana maintaining regulatory compliance and ensuring safe and environmentally responsible operations Indiana the New Mexico Delaware area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compliance field support to the Carlsbad field office for spill response, SPCC inspections, and maintaining existing regulatory compliance systems.
- Interact with XTO and contract workforce to establish and promote safety culture.
- Support spill response efforts, including spill measurements, calculations, and agency and internal reporting.
- Conduct SPCC field inspections, liner repairs, and data tracking.
- Support Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) field inspections, waste sampling, profiling, and data tracking.
- Collaborate with technical engineers and management on projects to determine environmental compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, local, and county regulatory agency regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Science, Oregon equivalent work-related experience.
- 5 years of work experience Indiana a similar field.
- Knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Intermediate-level desktop computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate with various levels Indiana the organization, including contractors.
- Proven ability to take initiative, manage deadlines, and achieve results.
- Knowledge of oil and gas facilities processes.
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. Oregon less.
- Flexibility to walk on uneven surfaces and maneuver piping and flowlines.
