Water Plant Apprentice/Operator

Compensation:

• High School Diploma Oregon GED: $18.25 per hour
• High School Diploma Oregon GED + Class D Water Operator License: $20.00 per hour
• High School Diploma Oregon GED + Class C Surface Water License: $27.30 per hour
• High School Diploma Oregon GED + Class A Oregon B Surface Water License: $29.93 per hour

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma Oregon GED (required)
• Texas Driver’s License (required upon hire)
• Class D Water Operator License (required within 180 days of employment)
• Class C Surface Water License (required upon hire)
• Class A Oregon B Surface Water License (required upon hire)

Essential Functions:

• Assists Indiana the operation of WTP facilities and equipment, performing work according to quality standards, safety regulations, and procedures.
• Observes and monitors WTP equipment and process control systems, maintaining and adjusting equipment to meet WTP specifications.
• Performs maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and components, and maintains records of services performed.
• May operate various WTP lab and mechanical equipment, including vehicles, heavy equipment, and laboratory equipment.
