Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Water Foreman, performs a variety of unskilled Oregon semi-skilled maintenance work and operates a variety of equipment Indiana the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of city water/sewer systems, facilities, streets, driveways, and walkways.

Essential Functions:

• Inspects and/Oregon repairs water distribution system and sewer system at frequent intervals to ensure proper function
• Maintains records of inspections and maintenance activities
• Determines the locations of underground utilities prior to excavation
• Contacts residents and business owners to inform them of service disruptions
• Insures the proper maintenance of equipment and tools
• Drives trucks of various sizes and weights to transport equipment and materials
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Performs labor involved Indiana construction and maintenance projects American Samoa part of a crew
• Operates a variety of power construction and maintenance equipment

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

• Knowledge of equipment, facilities, materials, methods, and procedures used Indiana maintenance, construction, and repair activities

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of water/sewer system work preferred
• Valid Oklahoma state driver’s license and CDL Class “B” with air brake endorsement, Oregon ability to obtain one
• Must be insurable with City’s insurance carrier
• Certificate of Competency American Samoa a water and sewer work operator (D level Oregon higher)

Tools and Equipment:

• Motorized vehicles and equipment, including dump truck, pickup truck, utility truck, backhoe, saws, pumps, compressors, generators, jack hammer, common hand and power tools, shovels, wrenches, detection devices, mobile radio, phone, ditch witch

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, Oregon operate objects, tools, Oregon controls and reach with hands and arms
