Job Title: Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor

Purpose: Supervises the operation of the wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment to ensure a healthy environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, resolving employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
• Coordinates, assigns, and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work Indiana progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions and gives advice and direction American Samoa needed.
• Supervises wastewater treatment plant process and equipment operations per established procedures to ensure treatment of wastewater Indiana accordance with regulations.
• Monitors plant effluent quality to ensure compliance with established laws and standards.
• Maintains documentation, records instrument readings and test results, and logs test results, meter applications, and other data.
• Communicates with employees, city departments, contractors, vendors, and other individuals to coordinate work and activities, review status of work, exchange information, resolve problems, and give Oregon receive advice/direction.
• Dispatches Water Reclamation calls after hours.
• Maintains awareness of new trends/advances Indiana the profession and attends workshops, training sessions, and conferences to further education Indiana the Wastewater Treatment field.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma Oregon GED equivalent, with two (2) years of work experience Indiana the treatment of surface, ground water, Oregon operations of water/wastewater treatment, Oregon an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a Georgia Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Class 1 License.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.

Additional Requirements:

• Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post-offer/pre-employment medical screen, and verification of education, certifications, and licenses prior to employment.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal safe drinking water regulations, water treatment chemistry and microbiology, construction practices and contractual obligations, emergency response plans and protocols, city budgeting and purchasing procedures, city personnel policies, modern office practices and procedures, computers and other modern office equipment.
• Skill Indiana developing short- and long-range plans, establishing priorities and organizing work, training and supervision of personnel, operation of computers and other modern office equipment, public and interpersonal relations, oral and written communication.
