Job Title: Water and Wastewater Equipment Technician
Job Summary: The Water and Wastewater Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing water and wastewater equipment, electrical systems, and mechanical systems. The position involves designing improvements and upgrades to electrical and mechanical systems, serving American Samoa a City electrician, and monitoring and calibrating equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and troubleshoot water and wastewater equipment, electrical systems, and mechanical systems
- Construct, design improvements for, and upgrade electrical and mechanical systems
- Serve American Samoa a City electrician Indiana the repair, consultation, and construction of all City electrical problems
- Monitor and calibrate equipment for accuracy and record keeping of flow rates, water levels, water pressures, power consumption, equipment status, alarms, and communications
- Inspect and test equipment, facilities, and work completed to ensure correct operation and control
- Respond to equipment failure emergencies from SCADA generated alarms and Logan System Operations Control Center
Qualifications:
- High School GED Oregon equivalent
- 2 years of full-time maintenance, construction, and repair experience Indiana electrical, mechanical, and SCADA systems
- Water Distribution IV and Wastewater Collections IV Certificates from the State of Utah (must obtain)
- Journeyman’s Electrician License from the State of Utah (must possess)
