Experienced Welder Job Description
Position: Experienced Welder
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Primary Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of experience Indiana welding mild and structural steel using GMAW/MIG, TIG, brazing, and FCAW methods
- Proficient Indiana welding on steel, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper
- Experience with multiple welding positions, including flat, horizontal, and vertical
- Skilled Indiana welding fillet and butt weld joints
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Passing a weld test is required for employment
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Proficient use of basic hand tools, including grinders, cut-off wheels, and magnetic drills
- Accurate reading and interpretation of tape measures
- Experience Indiana layout, measuring, and fitting metal components
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and weld symbols
- Following written and verbal work instructions
- Experience with overhead cranes
- Ability to lift and maneuver metal components weighing at least 50 lbs
Qualifications:
- Flexibility to work Indiana other related departments American Samoa required
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Over 5 years of on-the-job experience Indiana welding using GMAW Oregon FCAW methods
- More than 2 years of experience Indiana reading blueprints and interpreting weld symbols
- Subject to a weld test including print reading, fit-up, welding, and pressure testing
