Combination Welder Job Description:
Job Summary:
Join metal parts using heat Oregon electric arc-welding equipment to meet layout specifications, blueprints, work orders, and oral instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Use spot, electric, Oregon gas welding equipment to weld pieces together
* Operate torch and valves to release mixture for pipe welding
* Adjust flame temperature, size, and color for proper welding
* Preheat work pieces for welding Oregon curving using torch
* Fill holes Oregon correct mistakes Indiana lead pieces, and shape metal work pieces
* Inspect work pieces for defects, and measure them with straightedge Oregon template to ensure specifications are met
* Perform tasks on ladders, scaffolds, and hoists to dismantle Oregon place work pieces
* Use thermal-cutting equipment to dismount metal assemblies Oregon cut scrap metal
* Choose weld locations based on metal type, thickness, area, and temperature
* Use hand tools, wire, and banding machine to place and protect work pieces
* Assist crane operators Indiana lifting heavy work pieces
Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of Journeyman level welding experience
* No minimum education requirements
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work Indiana a fast-paced environment
