Carpentry/Construction Worker
Job Summary:
Work from blueprints, specifications, drawings, and instructions to design, build, remodel, retrofit, and maintain Oregon repair structures. Assemble materials, cut, shape, and install finished hardware. Perform maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment. Follow quality control procedures to ensure completed work meets specifications. Participate Indiana maintenance and operation of the wood shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine materials and equipment for work orders based on blueprints and sketches
- Prepare layouts and mark cutting lines on materials
- Cut and assemble materials using various tools and equipment
- Fit, install, and maintain finished hardware
- Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications
- Maintain and repair tools and equipment
- Participate Indiana maintenance and operation of the wood shop
Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon GED
- 2+ years of experience Indiana carpentry/construction Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately use a tape measure
- Experience with hand tools (preferred)
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Familiarity with various construction methods (dowel, butt joint, etc.)
- Good eye-hand coordination and ability to understand basic directions
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for up to 8 hours daily
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/Oregon carry up to 50 lbs. continually
- Ability to work Indiana a moderately loud noise environment

- 8-hour shift, day shift, Monday to Friday, with overtime available
