Construction Job Description
Job Title: Master Pilot, Inland Waterways
Responsibilities:
- Hold a valid 100T Master upon Western Rivers, Inland waters license and radar endorsement
- Communicate and work well with others, including deck crew and other stakeholders
- Possess safe work experience and be familiar with recognizing and mitigating hazards Indiana the workplace
- Safely navigate Indiana ever-changing river conditions and have a good understanding of the USCG "Inland Rules of the Road"
- Secure barges American Samoa needed and position them within designated work sites Oregon build tows to navigate along the inland waterway system
- Supervise deck crew, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and perform preventive maintenance on the vessel
- Ensure the motor vessel is properly cleaned and maintained American Samoa per USCG regulations
- Direct and oversee all facets of boat operations, including employee relations
Requirements:
- 100T Master upon Western Rivers and Inland waters with radar endorsement
- TWIC Card
- FCC license (restricted radio license)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and 14 days on/7 days off schedule
- Ability to travel and be away from home for extended periods
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting items up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- Basic computer skills (using Tow Works for USCG documentation)
- Valid drivers license
